Medical microneedling is also known as collagen induction therapy. It is a powerful skin rejuvenation and anti-aging treatment that has been used in aesthetic medicine for several years. The procedure is performed using a professional microneedling device which uses tiny sharp needles to create micro-channels or controlled injury to the skin being treated .This triggers the skins natural healing response and leads to increased collagen and elastin production. Medical needling should be performed by a physician or trained skin care professional. The device utilizes a sterile, disposable cartridge which houses 12 tiny needles which can be adjusted to between 0.5 and 2.5 mm in length, depending on purpose of the treatment. The longer needles are able to penetrate the deeper dermis making it possible to treat acne scars and other types of scars by stimulating skin remodeling. This treatment is excellent for improving the look of fine lines and wrinkles, improves skin texture, tone and color and even helps to improve the look of stretch marks.

This treatment is suitable for use all over the body including the face, neck, and décolletage, arms, back of the hands, abdomen, buttocks and legs.
